Marvel Studios announced during its San Diego Comic-Con Hall H presentation that the Alien: Romulus star will lead Black Panther 3 as the adult son of T’Challa, ushering in a new chapter for Wakanda.
The announcement was made by Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige alongside returning director Ryan Coogler, who is set to helm the third installment of the blockbuster franchise. Marvel also confirmed that Black Panther 3 will arrive in theaters on 15 December 2028.
Jonsson rose to prominence with his performances in Rye Lane, Industry, Alien: Romulus and The Long Walk. He now succeeds the late Chadwick Boseman, who originated T’Challa in the MCU, as the Black Panther legacy continues through the next generation of Wakanda’s protector.
