Vice Ganda and Kim Chiu have put the spotlight back on kindness after online discussions surrounding the It’s Showtime hosts gained traction following the Unkabogable Superstar’s acceptance speech at the inaugural FAMAS Broadcast Arts Awards.

The conversation began when a fan expressed disappointment that Vice failed to mention Kim while thanking the It’s Showtime family during the speech. The social media user claimed it was unfair that newly added hosts Brent Manalo and Ralph De Leon were acknowledged while Kim was allegedly overlooked.

Responding to the criticism, Vice dismissed the remark and called it unnecessary.

“Grabe the ka-cheapan of these fans! Look [at your fan], [Kim Chiu]!”

Kim, however, took a more conciliatory approach, urging people not to make the issue bigger than it already was. While she acknowledged that fans can become protective because of their love and support, she reminded everyone that the situation should simply be allowed to pass.

“Ayaw ko na sanang palakihin ito. Pero bilang mga tagasuporta, hindi naman siguro ka-cheapan ang tawag doon. Siguro po, marahil, sa sobrang pagmamahal at suporta nila sa idolo nila ay protective sila.”

She added:

“Hindi sa tino-tolerate ko sila, pero sana, hinayaan na natin ito. Kung wala ang mga taong sumusuporta at lubos na nagmamahal sa atin, wala ding tatangkilik sa lahat ng ginagawa natin.”

Vice later addressed his own supporters, making it clear that admiration should never become an excuse for attacking others online.

“Sa aking mga LITTLE PONIES, hindi sapat at katanggap-tanggap na dahilan na mahal niyo ako para maging masama kayo sa iba.”

He continued with a firm reminder:

“Ipinagpapasalamat ko ang suporta ninyo, but I will not enable your toxic behavior just because I seek your support.”

Vice summed up his message with a phrase that quickly circulated online:

“Thank but not enable.”

Kim closed the exchange on a positive note, encouraging everyone to focus on compassion instead of conflict.

“Let’s spread love and love always.”

Although the online interaction sparked speculation among fans, Vice later clarified that there is no rift between him and Kim, adding that they had already communicated privately. Their public messages ultimately shifted the conversation away from controversy and toward a shared reminder that respect and kindness should prevail—even in the most passionate fan communities.
