Celeste Cortesi has made it clear that there is no truth to the rumors surrounding her relationship with partner Jonathan Sterling.
The former Miss Universe Philippines 2022 appeared hand in hand with Sterling during the retail expansion launch of her cosmetics brand, ASUL, at Beauty Bar in Taguig City, presenting a united front while also addressing the speculation that had been circulating online.
Cortesi emphasized that their relationship remains strong despite public assumptions.
“Everything is well. People will always have something to say. They will always want to give out an opinion or assume. But at the end of the day, only we know what actually happened and the status of the relationship.”
She admitted that reading unfounded stories can be unpleasant but stressed that outside opinions have never shaken the foundation of their relationship.
“It doesn’t really matter the noise and the chaos that is outside. Of course, it’s not nice to hear or to read it. But at the end of the day, it doesn’t affect the relationship. And that’s what’s important.”
Sterling also broke his silence, explaining why many people mistakenly believe he is absent from Cortesi’s life.
“I’m not on social media. I’m the person behind the camera. I’m the one supporting. Because I’m not seen a lot of the time, people make a lot of assumptions. But I’m always there, just behind the camera, not the one in front of it.”
Cortesi described Sterling as her biggest source of comfort, especially as they prepare to welcome their first child together. She shared that he has been by her side through the emotional highs and lows of pregnancy, offering reassurance whenever she struggles with insecurities.
“Very supportive. It’s important to have a partner that is there, even for the most stupid things like insecurities. I message him every day saying, ‘I look fat,’ or ‘I look big,’ and he always makes everything feel a little bit lighter.”
The couple is also eagerly counting down the days until they meet their baby, revealing that the nursery has already been completed and all the essentials are ready.
“We already bought everything. We already made the baby’s room. It is very exciting. Of course it is a journey that is a little bit scary but I cannot wait for the baby to arrive.”
