Three individuals, including a high-value individual (HVI), were arrested and nearly P65,000 worth of suspected shabu was seized in a series of anti-illegal drug operations conducted by the Dagupan City Police Office (DCPO) from the evening of 20 July until the early hours of 21 July.

The operations yielded approximately 9.5 grams of suspected shabu with a combined estimated Standard Drug Price (SDP) of P64,900, along with marked and boodle money used during the buy-bust operations.

The first operation was carried out at around 7 p.m. on 20 July by joint operatives from Police Station 3, the City Police Drug Enforcement Unit (CPDEU), City Intelligence Unit (CIU), Police Drug Enforcement Group Special Operations Unit 1 (PNP DEG SOU1), in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office 1 (PDEA RO1).

Authorities arrested a 33-year-old construction worker from Dagupan City after he allegedly sold suspected shabu to an undercover operative. Seized during the operation was a heat-sealed plastic sachet containing about three grams of suspected shabu with an estimated value of P20,400, along with the buy-bust money.

At around 11:12 p.m. the same day, another buy-bust operation conducted by Police Station 1, CPDEU, CIU, PNP DEG SOU1, and PDEA RO1 led to the arrest of a 19-year-old resident of San Carlos City, Pangasinan. Police recovered a heat-sealed sachet containing approximately 1.5 grams of suspected shabu valued at P10,500 and the marked buy-bust money.

The third operation was launched at about 12:39 a.m. on 21 July by CPDEU, Police Station 1, CIU, and PDEA Pangasinan, in coordination with PDEA RO1. It resulted in the arrest of a 54-year-old fisherman and fish vendor identified by authorities as a high-value individual.

Recovered from the suspect were two heat-sealed sachets containing approximately five grams of suspected shabu with an estimated value of P34,000, a cigarette case, and marked and boodle money.

Police said all three operations were conducted in accordance with established operational procedures, including the use of Body-Worn Cameras and alternative recording devices. The marking and inventory of the seized evidence were conducted at the scene in the presence of the suspects and witnesses required under Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

The arrested suspects and the confiscated evidence were brought to their respective police stations for documentation. The suspects are currently detained at the DCPO Custodial Facility while charges for violations of Republic Act No. 9165 are being prepared for filing in court.

Dagupan City Police Director Col. Arnold P. Solomon commended the operating units for the successful operations and reaffirmed the city's intensified campaign against illegal drugs.

"The Dagupan Police remain steadfast in our duty to eliminate illegal drugs in our community. We will not stop until Dagupan City is safe and free from the menace of illegal drugs," Solomon said.
