The Cadet Corps Armed Forces of the Philippines (CCAFP) honored Philippine Military Academy (PMA) Superintendent Vice Adm. Caesar Bernard N. Valencia with a silent drill exhibition and boodle fight at Fort General Gregorio H. del Pilar in Baguio City.

The silent drill exhibition was performed by First Class Cadets of the PMA "MANDARAIG" Class of 2027 as a tribute to Valencia's leadership and service. The event was followed by a traditional boodle fight attended by members of the Cadet Corps.

The activity was among Valencia's final engagements with the Cadet Corps before the Academy's Testimonial Parade and Review on July 22, which will recognize his two years of service as the PMA's 85th superintendent.

During his tenure, Valencia introduced initiatives to strengthen cadet development and military education, including an enhanced Bachelor of Science in Management major in Security Studies curriculum, the "Faster, Stronger, Better" physical fitness program, and microcredential courses to help upperclass cadets transition to the updated curriculum.

He also expanded international engagement opportunities for cadets and led preparations for the International Cadet Conference 2026 as part of the Academy's efforts to produce operationally ready and globally competitive military leaders.

The PMA said the silent drill exhibition symbolized the Cadet Corps' appreciation for Valencia's leadership and commitment to developing "Leaders of Character" dedicated to serving the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the nation.
