28-year-old woman was injured after she was hit and pinned beneath a truck while chasing a passenger jeepney along Osmeña Highway in Manila early Thursday, police said.
The victim was rushed to a hospital after the incident, which occurred shortly after 2 a.m.
Police said the jeepney driver sped away after he and his companion were allegedly harassed by a group that included the woman, even running a red light out of fear.
Authorities are searching for the truck driver, who may face charges of reckless imprudence resulting in physical injuries. The jeepney driver, meanwhile, filed physical injury complaints against two 18-year-old men allegedly involved in the assault. The investigation is ongoing.
