Luzon International Premiere Airport Development (LIPAD) Corp., the private sector consortium operator of Clark International Airport (CRK), plans to build the country’s first airport city, expanding Clark International Airport beyond passenger operations to drive growth in aviation, logistics and investment.
The 759-hectare Clark AeroDistrict will integrate airport, cargo, logistics, and commercial developments, positioning Clark as a larger aviation and business hub.
Philippines’ first world-class airport city
“Clark International Airport has always been more than an airport. It is a gateway that connects people, businesses and opportunities. With Clark AeroDistrict, we are building on that vision by creating the Philippines’ first world-class airport city. We want Clark to become a leading hub for aviation, logistics, business and investment, while helping drive economic growth for the country,” said Noel Manankil, president and chief executive officer of LIPAD, the consortium composed of Changi Airports International, JG Summit Holdings, Filinvest Development Corp. and Philippine Airport Ground Support Solutions.
Masterplanned by global infrastructure consulting firm AECOM, the project will be developed inside the Clark Freeport Zone on government-owned land, allowing it to benefit from investment incentives and streamlined business processes.
The development includes dedicated areas for maintenance, repair and overhaul facilities; general aviation; cargo and freight operations; commercial and mixed-use projects; and future airport expansion.
