A fish worth an estimated ₱7 million has become the talk of the town—and not because of its size.
Three construction workers were reportedly arrested after allegedly stealing and butchering a prized arapaima from a resort in Quezon. The giant freshwater fish was said to weigh about 90 kilograms, measure 6.7 feet long and be around 25 years old.
What really fueled the buzz, however, was the fish's alleged owner. Insiders claim it belongs to a prominent Quezon politician who once held a top government post, though no official has confirmed the identity.
As for the fish? It reportedly went from being a prized attraction to pulutan, with netizens joking that every bite may have been worth more than ₱100,000.
