BRAVE Combat Federation has added a pivotal bantamweight matchup to the supporting card of BRAVE CF 108 as former bantamweight world champion Stephen Loman returns to face No. 2-ranked contender Lasha Abramishvili on 5 September at the Pula Arena in Croatia.
The bout could have major implications for the division’s world title picture.
Loman steps back into the BRAVE CF cage, looking to resume the dominance that made him one of the promotion’s most decorated world champions.
The Filipino superstar has not competed under the BRAVE CF banner for several years, but his legacy remains unmatched.
Since joining the organization at its maiden event in September 2016, “The Sniper” has amassed a perfect 6-0 promotional record while compiling an overall professional mark of 17-3, with six victories by knockout and two by submission.
His rise to the top reached its pinnacle at BRAVE CF 9: The Kingdom OF Champions in November 2017 when he stopped Gurdarshan Mangat in the opening round to become the first-ever BRAVE CF bantamweight world champion.
Loman’s reign lasted an impressive 1,179 days and included four successful title defenses. One of the defining moments of that championship run came in March 2019 when he knocked out former BRAVE CF featherweight world champion Elias “Smile” Boudegzdame in the fourth round before an enthusiastic home crowd at the Mall of Asia Arena.
Now representing Lions Nation MMA, Loman returns with the same objective that fueled his first World Championship campaign.
The BRAVE CF bantamweight world title is once again in his sights, with reigning champion Borislav “Zombee” Nikolić standing at the top of the weight class.
“I’ve been waiting for this opportunity for a long time, and I’m grateful that my return is happening in BRAVE CF,” Loman said.
“This organization gave me the platform to showcase my abilities to fans across the world and helped shape my career. Coming back here means everything to me, and this fight in Croatia is the first step toward reclaiming the BRAVE CF bantamweight world title.”
Standing opposite the former World Champion is one of the division’s most prolific contenders.
Abramishvili enters BRAVE CF 108 carrying a 12-2-1 slate and an unblemished 4-0 run in the Bahrain-based promotion.
Three of those victories have come inside the distance, reinforcing his reputation as one of the most dangerous rising names in the 135-pound bracket.
