Independent Philippine cinema takes center stage once again as the Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival announced the nine full-length films competing in its 2026 edition, showcasing a diverse mix of emerging voices and established filmmakers.
The festival will run from August 6 to 18, with “Enjoy Your Stay” directed by Honeylyn Joy Alipio and Dominik Locher opening the event, while “Filipiñana” by Rafael Manuel has been selected as the closing film.
