The National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) has elevated all units to full disaster readiness as Super Typhoon Bavi (Inday) officially enters the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
NCRPO has directed all district and city police offices to strengthen coordination with local government units, Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Offices, and partner agencies to guarantee a unified, synchronized, and timely response as the typhoon’s effects begin to influence the region.
Police units are conducting real‑time assessments of manpower, mobility assets, rescue equipment, and critical operational resources to ensure that response capabilities are fully prepared and strategically deployed in areas likely to experience strong winds, heavy rainfall, flooding, or other weather‑related hazards.
Personnel are likewise intensifying monitoring in flood‑prone communities, evacuation centers, major thoroughfares, transport hubs, and other critical zones to provide assistance, maintain order, and respond to emerging emergencies.
NCRPO’s specialized response units and the Reactionary Standby Support Force remain on maximum standby for deployment in search and rescue, evacuation assistance, emergency response, traffic management, and humanitarian operations as needed.
NCRPO also urged the public to remain vigilant, monitor official weather advisories, prepare essential emergency supplies, and immediately coordinate with authorities during emergencies.
