Fashion designer Anthony Vaccarello introduced a fully transparent men’s dress shoe in his line presented during the Men’s Spring-Summer 2027 collection of Paris Fashion Week at the Modern Art museum on 23 to 28 June.
The new YSL transparent men’s shoes, however, did not impress Australia’s leading men’s personal stylists, Jeff Lack, who called them “creepy” but “provocative.”
Seconding Lack, a well-known Australian fashion creator named “Fashion Critical” posted on Instagram this warning, “You know, there’s moisture in the feet. If you sweat even a little bit, it’s gonna get real misty in there,” New York Post (NYP) reports.
The post elicited the blunt comment, “I can’t stop thinking about the smell,” according to NYP.
Meanwhile, a fitness gym member from Hangzhou in eastern China’s Zhejiang province received on 20 June a message from the facility’s manager notifying him that his membership was being terminated.
“We thought it through carefully for a long time before making this decision. We will refund your money for the remaining time of your membership period,” the gym told Shi, South China Morning Post (SCMP) reports.
Shi paid 6,388 yuan for a three-year membership at the gym in May 2025. His use of the gym, five times a week, will end in April 2028, local media Zhejiang TV reported, according to SCMP.
Shi said he received 3,888 yuan from the gym as well as a three-month membership card to another gym.
The gym also offered Shi a three-month membership card at another gym, with the management reasoning that it had received too many complaints about his strong body odor.
