Ayala Land Offices said the East and West Towers of One Ayala have earned LEED Gold certification, strengthening the development’s appeal to multinational firms and companies seeking office spaces that support their sustainability and environmental goals.
The certifications cover about 74,531 square meters of office space and recognize the buildings’ compliance with global standards for energy efficiency, resource management, indoor environmental quality and sustainable operations.
Certified sustainable
The development’s South Tower has also received LEED certification, making all three office towers part of Ayala Land Offices’ certified sustainable portfolio.
In addition to LEED recognition, the East, West and South Towers have achieved EDGE Zero Carbon certification, signifying net-zero operational carbon through a combination of energy-efficient systems, water conservation measures, renewable energy use and carbon offset initiatives.
Ayala Land Offices said the certifications provide tenants with office spaces that support environmental, social and governance objectives, which have become increasingly important in corporate real estate decisions.
Many companies are now seeking workplaces that can help meet carbon reduction targets, sustainability reporting requirements and investor expectations.
“More companies today are looking beyond traditional office requirements and seeking workplaces that support their broader sustainability ambitions,” said Hamm Katipunan, chief executive officer of Ayala Land Offices.
