A 34-year-old woman listed as most wanted for robbery with homicide was arrested during an intensified manhunt operation in Pasig City on Friday afternoon.
At about 2:10 p.m., the tracker team of Pinagbuhatan Police Sub-Station 5 arrested the suspect, identified only by the alias “Lanie,” along C. Raymundo Avenue, Barangay Caniogan, Pasig City.
She was arrested by virtue of a warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court Branch 159 in Morong, Rizal, dated 26 January 2024, for robbery with homicide. No bail was recommended.
The warrant stemmed from a shooting incident that occurred on 5 July 2023, along Rodriguez Street, Sitio Namay, Barangay San Juan, Morong, Rizal, involving the accused and resulting in the death of a 29-year-old Indian national.
Pasig police chief Col. Hendrix Mangaldan commended the personnel of Pinagbuhatan Police Sub-Station 5 for their efforts in tracking down and arresting wanted persons.
He said the successful operation reflects the Pasig City Police Station’s commitment to bringing fugitives before the courts and ensuring that justice is served.
