First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos recently paid tribute to the men and women of the Presidential Security Command (PSC), thanking them for their sacrifices and steadfast commitment to protecting the presidency as the elite security unit marked its 128th anniversary.
Leading the celebration alongside President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. at Malacañang Park, the First Lady expressed her family’s gratitude to the PSC, saying its personnel carry out their duties “with courage and honor.”
“From our family to yours, thank you for your service. Your dedication to protecting the presidency and serving the Filipino people is a responsibility you carry with courage and honor each day,” Mrs. Marcos said.
She also acknowledged the sacrifices made by the command’s officers and personnel, saying their service and unwavering commitment to the nation are “deeply appreciated.”
President Marcos also recognized outstanding members of the Security Task Action Group for their exemplary service during the anniversary rites.
A protective unit of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, the Presidential Security Command is tasked with ensuring the physical security and safety of the President, the First Family, and the seat of government at Malacañang Palace.
