Kenyans Evans Bomer and Pamela Chepkoech Bundotich set the pace in the Manila leg of the Rexona 10 Miler Series 2026, starring in the 16K category on Sunday at Quirino Grandstand.
Riding high from his victory in the Pasay leg, Bomer once again topped the men’s division in 52 minutes and 45 seconds, outrunning Eduard Flores (54:09) and Ritchie Estampador (56:58).
Bundotich, meanwhile, dominated the women’s division by clocking in at 1:03:10, way in front of Maricar Camacho (1:08:04) and Meljoy Gonzales (1:08:30).
About 5,000 runners participated in this leg which traversed historic sites such as the Rizal Park, Intramuros and Jones Bridge, and they also received a special finishers medal bearing the facade of the Rizal Monument.
“We’re happy to continue this series for our runners while also giving honor to our history by traversing this route in the Manila leg,” RUNRIO founder Rio de la Cruz said.
Christian Pandili also ruled the men’s 10K in 42:40, followed by Orly Sevilleno (43:13) and Shen Dandred Hernando (46:42), while Jocelyn Elijeran was the fastest among the women in 45:35, ahead of Rika Hasebe (51:11) and Rovie Jay Angcona (56:51).
