Sparkle stars Katrina Halili and Angel Guardian added new milestones to their careers after both being named Best Actress at the 2026 World Class Excellence Japan Awards.
Halili earned the recognition for her performance as Emma in GMA Afternoon Prime’s Mommy Dearest, marking her first-ever Best Actress award. In an emotional Instagram post, the actress described the honor as a significant achievement and thanked those who have continued to support her growth as an artist.
Guardian, meanwhile, was recognized for portraying Sang’gre Deia in GMA Prime’s fantasy series Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre. The young actress expressed gratitude for the award, saying it meant a great deal to her as an actress and that she was touched to know audiences appreciated her portrayal.
Also honored during the ceremony was veteran actress Rio Locsin, who received the Best Supporting Actress in a TV Series award for her role in GMA’s action-drama The Master Cutter.
The 2026 World Class Excellence Japan Awards, now in its 10th year, recognizes professionals and performers for their contributions across various fields.
