Grace Poe’s daughter among newest UnionBank AVPs

Union Bank of the Philippines (UnionBank) has promoted Hannah Mackenzie P. Llamanzares to assistant vice president, effective 1 July 2026, according to a regulatory filing submitted by the bank.
In a Monday disclosure to the local bourse, Llamanzares was among 84 officers whose promotions were approved by the bank's board on 26 June as part of a broader organizational move to strengthen leadership across various business units.
Prior to her promotion, Llamanzares served as a senior manager at UnionBank. She holds a master's degree in applied psychology from the University of Southern California and has gained experience in both corporate and advocacy work, particularly in mental health and employee wellness.
Beyond banking, she has been involved in mental health initiatives, including collaborations with the workplace wellness platform Mind You, helping to promote access to mental health support services and employee assistance programs.
Llamanzares is the daughter of former senator Mary Grace Poe-Llamanzares and businessman Neil Llamanzares. Born in the Philippines, reports say she spent part of her childhood in the United States before returning to the country. She was among family members who joined the late actor Fernando Poe Jr.'s 2004 presidential campaign, a pivotal period that helped raise the family's public profile.
Her mother, Grace Poe, served in the Senate from 2013 to 2025. Since leaving public office, Poe has taken on corporate governance roles and currently serves as an independent director of Robinsons Land Corp. (RLC), having been elected to the property developer's board in August 2025. She also sits on several board committees, including those overseeing audit, corporate governance, risk oversight, and related-party transactions.
UnionBank did not provide additional details regarding Llamanzares' new responsibilities, but the promotion places her among the bank's officer ranks as it continues to expand its digital banking and financial services operations.
