The camp of Eman Bacosa “The Future” Pacquiao has filed a complaint with the Games and Amusements Board over the alleged excessive illegal blows delivered by Rodelyn Perez in their Philippine Boxing Federation lightweight title fight last week in Muntinlupa.
Perez earned an eight-round majority decision on the strength of three knockdowns scored against the son of eight-division champion Manny Pacquiao in their wild and wooly encounter.
Joana Rose B. Dino, mother of Bacosa-Pacquiao, also included referee Jerald Tomeldan in the complaint, saying the third man on the ring put his son in danger due to rabbit punches thrown by Perez.
Perez’s win raised his win-loss-draw record to 6-4-0 with four knockouts while the defeat was Bacosa-Pacquiao’s loss dropped his mark to 8-2-1 with five knockouts.
The bone of contention was Perez’s landing of about four rabbit punches in the second round when Bacosa-Pacquiao’s hands were already touching the floor, something Tomeldan wasn’t able to prevent from taking place.
But there were a couple of times as well when Bacosa-Pacquiao got away with two legit knockdowns that Tomeldan didn’t rule as such.
The sworn affidavit aims to sanction both Perez and Tomeldan.
