PRA, Pampanga ink deal to boost retiree services

The Philippine Retirement Authority (PRA) and the Provincial Government of Pampanga signed the CARE Connect Partnership Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to boost the quality of life of foreign retirees and holders of Special Resident Retiree's Visa (SRRV).
PRA General Manager and CEO Roberto Z. Zozobrado at Gov. Lilia “Nanay” Pineda signed the MOU at the Provincial Capitol in the City of San Fernando, Pampanga on 25 June 2026.
The said MOU, witnessed by former president and Pampanga 2nd District Representative Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, aims to boost the support, services and integration of SRRV retirees in the province.
The MOU also aims to provide opportunities for SRRV and foreign retirees while supporting the local development thru invaluable engagements and investments.
Under the agreement, the project aims to push Pampanga as a retirement destination; delegate a focal person for SRRV Care and Monitoring Program; hasten coordination between retirees and local communities; broaden PRA-accredited Merchant Partners for discounts and special offers; and support retirees on health, wellness, social, and community activities.
The two institutions also discussed the establishment of a premium and largest retirement village in the country, which will strengthen the position of Pampanga as the primary retirement destination in the country.
According to Governor Pineda, the partnership is a big boost in the employment opportunities for Kapampangans.
The PRA stated that around 2,700 foreign nationals are currently living in Pampanga, including South Korean, American, Indian, and Chinese nationals.
