Ernest John Obiena started his outdoor season with a silver medal at the Eurowings Flight Circus in Dusseldorf, Germany on Monday (Manila time).

Obiena, 30, cleared 5.74 meters as he made ghe podium since moving his base from Formia, Italy to Athens.

Chris Nilsen of the United States won the tournamemt after clearing 5.83m while Seifeldin Abdelsalam of Qatar took the bronze medal as he tallied 5.65m.
