Naghain ng kasong paglabag sa Presidential Decree 1829 o Obstruction of Justice ang grupong Tindig Pilipinas sa Office of the Ombudsman laban kina Senate President Alan Peter Cayetano, Senador Robinhood Padilla, at Senate Sergeant-at-Arms Mao Aplasca.

Ayon sa Tindig Pilipinas, umano’y nagsabwatan ang mga ito upang tulungan si Senador Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa na makaiwas sa pag-aresto ng International Criminal Court (ICC).

Civic groups file obstruction of justice complaints on Cayetano, Padilla, Aplasca

Pinangunahan nina Tindig Pilipinas convenors Francis Joseph Aquino Dy at Sylvia Estrada Claudio, kasama ang mga kinatawan ng mga manggagawa at mga pamilya ng mga biktima ng war on drugs, ang paghahain ng reklamo sa Office of the Ombudsman.

Sa kanilang sinumpaang salaysay, iginiit ng mga nagreklamo na sa kabila ng umiiral na warrant of arrest na inilabas ng ICC kaugnay ng kasong crimes against humanity na may kaugnayan sa madugong kampanya kontra droga noong administrasyon ni dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte, pinayagan umano nina Cayetano, Padilla, at Aplasca si Dela Rosa na magtago at umiwas sa pag-aresto sa loob ng Senado.
