  • Tinutulan ni Senate President Alan Peter Cayetano ang panawagan ng minority bloc na bumaba siya sa puwesto sa gitna ng mga alegasyon ng kaguluhan sa ilalim ng kanyang pamumuno.

    Inihain ni Senador Raffy Tulfo nitong Miyerkules, ika-2 ng Hunyo, ang mungkahi matapos ang magkasunod na araw na hindi pagdalo ng majority bloc sa sesyon ng Senado.

    "Kung hindi ka lang Tulfo, at ‘yung kapatid mo na si Erwin, isinumbong ko na kayo kay Tulfo," aniya ni Cayetano.

    Sa isang pahayag, sinabi ng "Solid Bloc 11" na ang nangyari sa Senado ay isang malinaw na pag-abandona sa responsibilidad at pagsasawalang-bahala sa rules.

    "The rule was violated. This is not merely a procedural lapse—it is a direct violation of the Rules of the Senate and a serious disrespect for the institution and the Filipino people. Senate President Alan Peter Cayetano should resign as he has shown that he cannot function as the leader of the Senate," dagdag pa ng grupo.

    Paliwanag naman ni Cayetano, ang kanilang naging aksiyon ay isang protesta sa pag-walkout ng minorya noong nakaraang Martes, ika-26 ng Mayo, matapos hindi pumayag ang minorya sa kagustuhan ng nakararami na amyendahan ang rules upang payagan ang virtual participation ng mga kaalyadong nahaharap sa banta ng pag-aresto.

    Sa pag-aresto kay Jinggoy Estrada noong Lunes at patuloy na pagtatago ni Bato dela Rosa dahil sa warrant of arrest mula sa International Criminal Court (ICC), naging pantay na ang bilang ng parehong kampo na inaasahan sa sesyon. Pero ayon kay Cayetano, "Huwag kayong magpaonse sa onse."

    "Ginamit nila 'yung parliamentary rule na walk-out para po hindi mabago 'yung rules. So ngayon po, ang majority, ginagamit din po ang rule sa tama, morally and legally, upang tiyakin na hindi aagawin 'yung mga komite at para po matuloy ang hearing ng Blue Ribbon sa Huwebes," dagdag pa niya.
