Commuters hail public utility buses at the EDSA Busway plying under the Service Contracting Program (SCP) on 17 April 2026. According to the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB), close to a thousand operators have already joined the program. However, some transport groups remain opposed due to concerns over long-term sustainability and operational delays.
