Canadian-born K-pop powerhouse Mark Lee—NCT’s multilingual main rapper, dancer, leader of NCT Dream, and co-writer of bangers like “The 7th Sense,” “Fire Truck,” “Chewing Gum,” and “Regular”—has dropped a soul-crushing Instagram letter announcing his exit from NCT 127 and NCT Dream.
The Toronto native, who debuted in 2016 across NCT U, NCT 127, and NCT Dream, wrote in English: “I hope our next chapter together could be where we are all healthily smiling about the past, welcoming the present, and being excited for what’s to come.”
Mark poured his heart out to Czennies: “I will never forget the pieces of love and truth each and every Czennie gave me”—especially poignant for PH fans who screamed for him at NCT Dream’s epic THE DREAM SHOW 3 two-night Manila takeover at Philippine Arena in August 2024.
SM Entertainment confirmed: “After a long period of careful and thoughtful discussion with MARK regarding his future activities, we have mutually agreed to conclude his exclusive contract as of April 8.”
