A 42-year-old man was arrested by police authorities for violation of Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, following the implementation of a search warrant in Barangay Palanan, Makati City on Thursday morning, 2 April.
The suspect, identified only by the alias Rodel, was apprehended at around 7:45 a.m. at his residence located in the said barangay.
He was arrested by virtue of a search warrant issued by Executive Judge Gina Bibat Palamos of the Makati City Regional Court.
Recovered during the implementation of the search warrant were one caliber .32 revolver loaded with six live ammunition, one improvised caliber .22 handgun with inserted magazine, and three additional live ammunition for a caliber .22 firearm.
The suspect is now detained at the Makati City Police Station custodial facility.
Appropriate charges are currently being prepared against him and the case will be referred for inquest proceedings before the Makati City Prosecutor’s Office.
