The Philippines is set to make a global comeback in the furniture industry as it returns to the High Point Market in North Carolina from 24 to 29 April, marking its first participation in over three decades.
Under the DESIGNPhilippines banner, a 14-member delegation of local manufacturers will showcase Filipino craftsmanship and innovation at one of the world’s largest furniture trade fairs. Organized by the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions, the participation highlights the country’s push to strengthen its position in bespoke and sustainable furniture design.
“This milestone signals a strong revival of our furnishing industry, reinforcing the Philippines’ strength in bespoke furniture while honoring the exceptional artisanal skill that continues to set our designers apart worldwide,” said CITEM Executive Director Leah Pulido Ocampo.
The Philippine pavilion, spanning 204 square meters at the Interhall IHFC, will feature a mix of heritage craftsmanship and contemporary design. Exhibitors will highlight the use of sustainable and upcycled materials such as river roots and woven fibers, aimed at attracting more than 75,000 international buyers and designers.
Among the participating companies are South Sea Veneer, A. Garcia, Aerostone, Fifty One All Weather, Filipino Creazione, Mejore, Lija by That One Piece, HMT, Larone, Nature’s Legacy, Prizmic & Brill, TADECO Home, TN International, and Weavemanila.
The United States remains a key market for Philippine home and lifestyle exports, prompting the Department of Trade and Industry to open the pavilion early on 24 April for select buyers. The showcase also sets the stage for Manila FAME, scheduled on 15 to 17 October 2026 at the World Trade Center Metro Manila.
