A food cache for a communist terrorist group (CTG) was found at Brgy. Wenceslao in the town of Maria Aurora, Aurora.

In a post dated 28 February 2026, the 91st Infantry Battalion conducted a security operation along with the 21st Special Action Company, 2nd Special Action Battalion, and the Philippine National Police-Special Action Force (PNP-SAF) under the supervision of Joint Task Group 7-2 (JTG 7-2).

The operation resulted in the recovery of a food cache that was believed to have been intended to support the Dismantled Komiteng Rehiyon Gitnang Luzon (DKRGL) and Dismantled Komiteng Larangan Gerilya Narciso (DKL Narciso).

Although the threat elements have vacated the area, the JTG 7-2 continues to implement measures to ensure the safety and stability of communities in Aurora and the Central Luzon region.

The seized items included: two containers, each containing approximately 25 kilograms of rice; two gallon containers, each weighing approximately 10 kilograms of rice; two 1.5-liter water containers, each containing approximately 1.5 kilograms of rice; and one water container, containing approximately 3 kilograms of rice.

The discovery and confiscation of these supplies are critical to strengthening logistical control in areas previously affected by insurgent activities.

Brigadier General Eugenio Julio C. Osias IV, Commander of the 703rd Infantry (Agila) Brigade and JTG 7-2, commended the troops for their dedication and seamless coordination with partner law enforcement agencies.

"This operation underscores our unwavering commitment to maintaining stability and security in our communities. By intercepting these resources, we enhance our sustainment operations and prevent any future attempts to disrupt peace. Our combined efforts ensure lasting peace and order, not only in Aurora but throughout Central Luzon," Osias stated.

He further emphasized the importance of continued collaboration between the Philippine Army and the Philippine National Police in reinforcing security operations that protect communities and ensure long-term stability in areas previously affected by insurgency.

The Philippine Army, through the 703rd Infantry (Agila) Brigade, remains committed to sustaining a strong and responsive presence in Aurora. Intelligence-driven operations will continue to disrupt support systems for threat groups, safeguard civilians, and create a conducive environment for lasting peace and development in the region.
