Spanning 5,000 square meters, the space — masterfully partitioned by designer Baby Imperial — exuded an airy, editorial elegance that invited the city’s creative vanguard to linger. This was not the typical, frenetic trade show; it was a curated odyssey where the nine pillars of the ALT Collective — Artinformal, Blanc, Finale Art File, Galleria Duemila, MO_Space, The Drawing Room, Underground, Vinyl on Vinyl and West Gallery — moved away from the static “white cube” to create a living, breathing dialogue between the viewer and the canvas.

The pulse of the three-day affair was found in the newly-minted Discoveries Section, a high-octane showcase of raw talent that perfectly mirrored the vibrant, restless energy of Manila’s emerging art scene. There was a balance in art from the cerebral depths of the ALT Project Spaces — featuring avant-garde, daring and evocative works — to the poignant retrospective honoring the late Mauro “Malang” Santos.

The true power of ALT 2026 lies in its refusal to be ordinary.
