QCPD arrests 31 criminals in 24-hour operation

The Quezon City Police District reported this Saturday that it had detained 31 wanted persons during its most recent Warrant Day operations.

Police Brig. Gen. Randy Glenn Silvio stated that out of the 31 criminals, one suspect was a top most wanted person, 11 were most wanted persons, while the rest were classified as other wanted persons.

Alias “Richard,” 37 years old, was arrested by officers from the Masambong Police Station 2 while at his house in Barangay Del Monte on the back of an act of lasciviousness warrant from Branch 301 of Regional Trial Court in Quezon City.

Further investigation on the suspect uncovered that he was a repeat offender, being charged with the same offense back in 2019.

Later in the day, the Payatas Bagong Silangan Police Station 13 issued warrants of arrest to alias “Alexis,” 37 years old, and alias “Mark Brian,” 36 years old.

Alexis, a resident of Barangay Payatas, was arrested at 11:30 a.m. for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act handed down by Branch 82 of the RTC. He too was a repeat offender.

Meanwhile, Mark Brian was served his warrant for robbery at his cell in the Custodial Facility of the station.

A 70-year old man from Barangay Tatalon identified as “Gerrado" was also nabbed by authorities around 5:30 p.m. with a pending warrant for Sexual Assault and Lascivousness from RTC Branch 107.

Silvio expressed praise for authorities who made the operation successful and reiterated that the QCPD is committed to serving its residents by maintaining peace and order in the city.
