Your dog can now earn frequent flyer miles—well, almost. Flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) has expanded its FurPAL program to all domestic flights, allowing passengers to bring small dogs into the cabin nationwide.
The program, first launched in November 2025, is now available on every domestic route, allowing passengers to travel with their pets to destinations such as Boracay, Davao, and Bacolod.
FurPAL costs P2,500 one-way and can be booked through the airline’s website by selecting the FurPAL option and completing payment. Each passenger may bring one small dog, with a maximum of three pets allowed per flight.
Only dogs weighing up to 10 kilograms, at least eight weeks old, and fully weaned are eligible. Pets must stay inside a soft-sided carrier under the seat throughout the flight.
Required documents include health and vaccination certificates, a veterinary certificate, PAL waiver and declaration form, and a shipping permit from the Bureau of Animal Industry. Sedation is not allowed.
PAL said flights are equipped with hospital-grade HEPA filters that eliminate up to 99.99 percent of airborne particles, with cabins cleaned before every flight.
“As the pioneer of pet air travel in the Philippines, PAL celebrates the unbreakable bond between people and their pets. This expansion helps more travelers enjoy seamless, safe, and memorable journeys with their beloved furpals,” PAL said.
