Buenas PH, a PAGCOR-licensed e-casino under HHR Philippines Inc. (HHRPI), is calling on celebrities and influencers to move beyond paid promotions and take a stand against illegal gambling and addiction. The initiative aims to clean up the local gaming industry, eliminate scam sites, and restore public trust in licensed platforms.
The announcement came during the press conference for the inaugural Battle of Streamers, organized by YGS Live with Buenas PH as presenting partner. The call is timely, following a 76 percent increase in online gambling scams last year, particularly on unregulated social media platforms.
Research by The Fourth Wall shows that aggressive marketing and predatory affiliate structures on unlicensed sites leave players vulnerable to fraud and financial loss. “The path back is transparency, regulation, and visible safeguards,” said Jev Mark Macam, President of 888 Luxury Legacy Corporation.
Influencers are crucial in raising public awareness. Julius “Banoobs” Mariano, founder of YGS Live, said guiding creators toward licensed platforms helps distinguish legitimate gaming from scams.
Buenas PH has partnered with prominent creators including Boss Toyo, ChooxTv, Beatmaster, ForeignGerms, Hypebits, and Mark Herras, promoting safe and responsible gaming in the Philippines.
Atty. Anthony “Tony” Manguiat, HHRPI President, emphasized that influencers’ role is entertainment with safety reminders, not encouraging gambling.
