PNP Anti-Kidnapping Group (AKG) Director Brig. Gen. Glicerio Cansillao on Wednesday, 18 February 2026, announced the arrest of “Preacher Jacob,” a former Philippine Army member listed among the Department of the Interior and Local Government’s Most Wanted Persons, in connection with a kidnapping-for-ransom case.

Jacob had evaded authorities for 19 years and carried a P300,000 bounty for his capture.

He was arrested on 15 February in Barangay Limonda, Opol, Misamis Oriental.

Police linked him to the kidnapping of a Pakistani national in Makati City on 24 May 2007.
