Regent Hong Kong has earned a Five-Star distinction in the 2026 Forbes Travel Guide Star Awards, placing the waterfront property among the world’s top luxury hotels.
The recognition underscores both the hotel’s service standards and Hong Kong’s continuing efforts to reinforce its position as a leading global tourism and business hub.
Michel Chertouh, managing director of Regent Hong Kong, described the award as a milestone for the property and its team, noting that it also reflects renewed confidence in Hong Kong’s hospitality sector.
Forbes Travel Guide, regarded as a global authority on luxury hospitality, evaluates properties through anonymous inspections based on hundreds of criteria, with emphasis on service consistency, facilities and overall guest experience.
Situated along Victoria Harbour, Regent Hong Kong underwent a major transformation under designer Chi Wing Lo, introducing refined interiors that frame panoramic harbour views while maintaining a restrained, contemporary aesthetic.
The hotel highlights personalized service through its Regent Experience Agents, who curate tailored dining and city experiences. Guest rooms incorporate “Personal Havens,” including windowfront daybeds and spa-inspired bathrooms designed to maximize harbor views.
Amanda Frasier, president of Standards & Ratings at Forbes Travel Guide, said this year’s awardees represent excellence in a luxury travel landscape increasingly focused on authenticity and well-being.
The latest accolade comes as Hong Kong continues to rebuild international arrivals, with high-end hospitality playing a key role in strengthening the city’s global tourism profile.
