BDO Unibank is rolling out a series of Valentine’s season promotions across retail, dining and travel partners.

Under the campaign, BDO debit cardholders can access discounts from several merchants, including online flower retailers FlowerStore.ph and Designer Blooms, food delivery platform foodpanda, restaurant chain Yang Chow, and travel booking sites Trip.com and Agoda.

Offers range from percentage discounts to capped vouchers and are subject to terms and conditions with corresponding Department of Trade and Industry permit numbers.

Promos accessible via BDO Pay app

The promotions are accessible through the BDO Pay app, where clients may view details under the bank’s deals section, underscoring BDO’s broader strategy of integrating merchant perks within its digital banking ecosystem.

In a separate offer, BDO Mastercard credit cardholders may receive up to 30 percent off at The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, subject to minimum spend requirements and a discount cap per transaction. The weekday promo runs until 20 March, excluding holidays.

A key window

Seasonal campaigns such as Valentine’s Day remain a key window for banks to boost discretionary spending, particularly in dining, gifting and short-term travel.

By tying incentives to app-based platforms and card payments, BDO continues to position digital transactions at the center of its consumer engagement strategy.

The latest set of merchant partnerships highlights how major banks are leveraging lifestyle spending cycles to deepen card penetration and expand adoption of cashless payments.
