Taylor Swift has released the music video for Opalite, the second single from her album The Life of a Showgirl, featuring a dazzling cast inspired by a TV show appearance.
As Swift shared, the concept came to her during album promotions on the UK late-night favorite The Graham Norton Show.
“It’s like a dinner party with wine,” she explained, “and I got ridiculously lucky with my table: Cillian Murphy, Domhnall Gleeson, Greta Lee, Jodie Turner-Smith, and Lewis Capaldi.”
She recounted how a playful comment from Domhnall Gleeson sparked the video idea.
“He joked about wanting to be in one of my videos, and I instantly had a vision. A week later, he received the script for Opalite, and I thought, why not include everyone from that night, even Graham? To my delight, they all jumped on board—time-traveling back to the ’90s with us.”
