Lisa of global K-pop powerhouse BLACKPINK is set to add another notable credit to her fast-expanding acting résumé, this time in a Netflix romantic comedy inspired by the beloved 1999 classic Notting Hill.

According to reports, the project will see Lisa stepping into a genre far removed from stadium tours and fashion front rows. The film, described as a modern rom-com with clear nods to the Julia Roberts–Hugh Grant favorite, reunites her with executive producer David Bernad, one of the creative forces behind HBO’s The White Lotus, the series that marked Lisa’s acting debut in its third season, which aired in 2025.

The collaboration reportedly grew out of a shared appreciation for classic romantic comedies. Beyond starring, Lisa is also set to serve as co-executive producer, signaling a deeper creative involvement as she continues to build a parallel career in film and television.

The Netflix rom-com is just one of several screen projects lined up for the Thai superstar. Lisa is also slated to appear in TYGO, a Netflix action film spun off from the Extraction universe, where she stars alongside Don Lee and Lee Jin-uk.

Despite her growing Hollywood footprint, Lisa remains firmly anchored to her roots. She is set to reunite with Jennie, Jisoo, and Rosé when BLACKPINK releases its third EP, Deadline, on 27 February.
