

Club De Futbol Manila (CDFM) and Pinay5 flexed their muscles to emerge victorious in the High5 Futsal League National Invitational Championship over the weekend at the University of Asia and the Pacific Parking and Sports Building in Pasig City.
CDFM shone over Davao South, Naga City Abayon, and Pangasinan Sual FC to clinch the title in the men’s division of this event that aimed to showcase of the rising and nationwide growth of futsal in the Philippines.
The Pinay5, meanwhile, prevailed over CDFM, Cebu Razkals United and Pangasinan Sual FC to secure the women’s division honors in this tourney organized by the Henry V. Moran Foundation.
The event is the Moran Foundation’s commitment to futsal development in the country — from grassroots participation and school-based programs to high-performance elite competitions. Through flagship initiatives such as the High5 Futsal League and Liga Eskwela, the organization aims to create a sustainable athlete pathway while raising the overall technical and competitive level of the sport nationwide.
The tournament gathered leading clubs and regional teams from across the country, providing a competitive platform for both emerging grassroots talents and established elite players.
Moran Foundation chairman and president Daniel Moran, together with sports director Coach Vic Hermans, emphasized that the event forms part of a long-term vision to strengthen futsal structures in the Philippines, expand regional representation, and bring Philippine futsal to higher levels of excellence both locally and on the international stage.
