Boxing icon and former senator Manny Pacquiao has warned internet personality Norman Mangusin, also known as Francis Leo Marcos (FLM), of possible legal action following a derogatory remark referring to Pacquiao’s mother, Dionisia, as a “baluga” during a livestream.
In a video that circulated online, Mangusin’s comment drew widespread criticism and prompted a strong response from the eight-division world champion, who said he initially tried to restrain himself but reacted when his family was dragged into the issue.
As much as possible, kino-control ko ang sarili ko.
Pacquiao questioned whether Mangusin understood the gravity of his actions, saying he had already instructed his lawyer to prepare a case. He added that if Mangusin were jailed, he would personally visit him in detention.
“Kilala ba niya ako? File-an natin ng kaso,” Pacquiao said.
He also warned Mangusin not to push him to his limit, stressing that he was exercising restraint.
In a separate livestream, Mangusin appeared unfazed by the controversy. When asked by a netizen whether he could defeat Pacquiao in a fight, Mangusin said he was willing to face the boxing legend without gloves.
Walang gloves, kama-kamao. Laban ako diyan,” Mangusin said.
As of this writing, no formal complaint has been publicly confirmed to have been filed.
