Support to public hospitals through sustained feeding initiatives that aim to provide warm meals to patients, caregivers and hospital personnel continues, Senator Christopher “Bong” Go, vice chairperson of the Senate Committee on Health, indicated.
From 26 to 30 January, the program reached several hospitals across Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao, helping to ease the daily strain for many who spend long hours in medical facilities.
In Metro Manila, the program was implemented at Ospital ng Muntinlupa and the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine, both in Muntinlupa City. Meanwhile, in Luzon, the initiative reached key healthcare facilities across several provinces.
These included Batangas Medical Center in Batangas City and Batangas Provincial Hospital in Lemery, both in Batangas; Southern Isabela Medical Center in Santiago City, and Governor Faustino Dy Memorial Hospital in Ilagan City, Isabela.

It also extended to Laguna, with feeding activities conducted at Laguna Medical Center in Sta. Cruz and San Pablo General Hospital in San Pablo City. In Rizal province, meals were distributed at Antipolo City Hospital Annex IV, Casimiro A. Ynares Sr. Memorial Hospital in Rodriguez, Cainta Municipal Hospital in Cainta, and Margarito Duavit Memorial Hospital in Binangonan.
There were also feeding programs in Cagayan Valley Medical Center in Tuguegarao City and General Emilio Aguinaldo Memorial Hospital in Trece Martires City, Cavite.
In Visayas, the West Visayas State University Medical Center in Iloilo City was among the hospitals served. In Mindanao, meals were distributed at the Southern Philippines Medical Center in Davao City and the Davao Regional Medical Center in Tagum City — two of the region’s largest and busiest public hospitals that serve communities from various provinces.
Go emphasized that while the feeding program is simple, it responds to real and ongoing needs inside hospital settings. “Every day, there are Filipinos in hospitals who barely get any rest — whether patients, watchers, caregivers or frontliners. If we can ease even a small part of the burden of their day, that already means a great deal,” he said.
