PhilHealth warns public vs fake websites posing as official portals

The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) has warned the public against the spread of fraudulent and unauthorized websites posing as official PhilHealth portals for registration and member services.

PhilHealth said it has monitored several suspicious websites designed to mimic the agency’s official interface to trick users into sharing sensitive personal information.

“It has come to our attention that several suspicious websites are mimicking the official PhilHealth interface to deceive users into providing sensitive information. We urge everyone to remain vigilant and follow these guidelines to identify legitimate platform,” said PhilHealth President and CEO Dr. Edwin Mercado.

The agency stressed that its only official website is www.philhealth.gov.ph, warning users to be cautious of websites using other domain extensions such as .com or .net. PhilHealth noted that official Philippine government websites typically end in .gov.ph.

PhilHealth also advised the public to watch out for the use of low-quality or outdated versions of the agency’s logo, a common tactic used by scammers. The public was urged to verify branding by cross-checking with official PhilHealth offices and verified social media accounts.

In addition, the agency clarified that it will never request direct payments, bank transfers, donations, or sensitive login credentials through unofficial websites.

“We take the security of our members' information seriously, and we encourage the public to only use our official website for any transactions and to report any suspicious links or pages immediately,” Mercado added.

PhilHealth urged the public not to click links from suspicious websites and to report questionable URLs through its official channels, including its verified Facebook page, email address, and website.
