Malabon City Mayor Jeannie Sandoval led the inauguration of a new multipurpose school building and the blessing of a specialized vehicle fleet Tuesday, part of a citywide push to modernize public infrastructure and emergency response.
The new four-story facility, located at Tanong National High School in Barangay Tanong, features 12 classrooms and dedicated restrooms for people with disabilities. The building is equipped with ramps, a CCTV network, and fire protection systems.
“The completion of this structure is aimed at improving the delivery of services directly to our residents,” Sandoval said.
It also unveiled a specialized “manlift” with an aerial platform and an L300 van for the City Engineering Department. Engineers said the smaller vehicles were specifically chosen to maneuver through Malabon’s narrow streets and alleys, where standard maintenance trucks cannot fit.
