Niño Namoco, president of healthcare technology firm 1Life Inc., has been recognized at the 5th Mansmith Innovation Awards for his long-term, technology-driven impact on healthcare delivery in the Philippines.
Namoco was among the business leaders honored during the 2026 Mansmith Awards held on 21 January at the Carlos Romulo Auditorium, RCBC Plaza in Makati City. Founded by entrepreneur Josiah Go, the awards recognize creativity, vision, and sustained impact across emerging and evolving industries, including healthcare and digital innovation.
The program honored 12 industry leaders this year, with four executives cited specifically for innovation for introducing concepts that have transformed their respective sectors and fostered enduring growth. Past recipients of the Mansmith Innovation Awards include Jean Henri Lhuillier of Cebuana Lhuillier, Martha Sazon of GCash and Dennis Uy of Converge ICT Solutions.
Reflecting on the recognition, Namoco credited the collective efforts behind 1Life’s achievements. “The achievements of 1Life are the result of collective effort. Every milestone was built on the sacrifices, commitment, and hearts of my co-founders,” he said, adding that the company’s mission was shaped by the question, “What is the value of innovation if it does not reach the people who need it most?”
Under Namoco’s leadership, 1Life has adopted a technology-enabled healthcare model that integrates artificial intelligence to improve access to early detection and preventive care. The company has served more than one million patients in just two years, covering all 81 provinces and 1,335 cities and municipalities nationwide, according to the firm.
Central to its operations are innovations such as the 1Life Digital Community Healthcare System, portable diagnostic devices, DocMate AI and the 1Life Health app, which aim to streamline healthcare delivery by reducing multi-day medical processes into a single visit. The company also conducts daily medical runs through field deployments supported by multidisciplinary teams.
Beyond technology, 1Life has partnered with PhilHealth, the Department of Education, local government units, and other national agencies to complement barangay health systems and expand access to care, particularly in underserved communities.
“At 1Life, our innovation is simple: healthcare should not be a privilege. It shouldn’t depend on your zip code, your income, or who you know,” Namoco said, noting that the company focuses on reaching last-mile and underserved populations.
The 2026 Mansmith Awards, presented by Mansmith and Fielders Inc., also introduced two new distinctions this year — the Mansmith Entrepreneur Awards and the Mansmith CEO Lifetime Achievement Awards.
