The Provincial Government of Pampanga has officially turned over a new school building to a Kapampangan technical-vocational school in Barangay Bulaon Resettlement, City of San Fernando, during a ceremony held on 23 January.
Provincial officials said the newly completed facility was handed over to the San Vicente Pilot School for Philippine Craftsmen, a key institution training skilled workers in the province. Construction of the two-story building began just six months ago, funded through an P8.8-million allocation approved by then Governor and now Vice Governor Dennis Pineda.
Designed to support hands-on learning, the building features four classrooms equipped with wall fans, blackboards, and chairs, and will serve as workshops for tech-voc students.
Vice Governor Pineda led the blessing and inauguration, joined by Bacolor Mayor Diman Datu, School Principal Narciso Memdiola Jr., Board Member Shiwen Lim, and Angie Blanco, chief of staff of the Vice Governor.
The turnover coincided with the 50th anniversary of the San Vicente Pilot School, adding significance to the event. Once fully operational, the new building is expected to benefit more than 1,300 technical-vocational students.
Before the end of his term, Vice Governor Pineda also earmarked P400 million for the construction of new school buildings across the province.
The San Vicente Pilot School for Philippine Craftsmen was originally established in Bacolor and later relocated to Bulaon Resettlement following the eruption of Mount Pinatubo.
