MV Costa Serena docks in Puerto Princesa

Cruise vessel MV Costa Serena is once again in the country, bringing more than 3,000 passengers and crew members in Puerto Princesa, Palawan.

According to the Philippine Ports Authority, the cruise ship owned and operated by Carnival Corporation & PLC, and managed by Costa Crociere S.P.A., arrived in morning of 13 January, coming from Brunei Darussalam. It was the second visit of the cruise vessel in the country.

The vessel was welcomed by officials of the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA)-Port Management Office Palawan upon arrival in Puerto Princesa Port.

Last year, the Costa Serena brought 2,945 passengers and 1,018 crew to the country.

The crew and passengers were also welcomed by Puerto Princesa City Band, Francisco Ubay Elementary School Drum and Lyre Corps, and Banwa Dance and Arts.

Upon its scheduled departure on the same day for Hong Kong, the Sta. Monica Elementary School Music Club and Puerto Princesa City Choir were to perform for the passengers and crew.

The PPA said 21 cruise ships are expected to visit Puerto Princesa City throughout 2026, including six maiden voyages.
