Globe Telecom said its chief sustainability and corporate communications officer, Maria Yolanda “Yoly” Crisanto, has been named a 2025 Distinguished Thomasian Alumni (DTAN) awardee by the University of Santo Tomas Alumni Association.
The recognition cites Crisanto’s contributions to corporate communications, sustainability leadership, and national advocacy. She is a graduate of UST’s Communication Arts program.
Crisanto pioneered Globe’s sustainability practice in 2009, integrating climate action and social development into the company’s long-term strategy ahead of broader corporate adoption in the Philippines. She also led Globe’s digital responsibility initiatives, including the MakeITSafePH campaign on online safety and mental well-being, and the #PlayITRight campaign against online piracy.
Beyond Globe, Crisanto serves as a trustee of the Ayala Foundation and has held leadership roles in the Public Relations Society of the Philippines and the AVIA Coalition Against Piracy.
“This recognition is for the entire Globe team whose dedication to embed sustainability at the heart of our strategy helps create a better, more inclusive future for all of us and the country. We continue our purpose-driven stewardship, deeply committed to the common good, and I am proud to champion this,” Crisanto said.
“Yoly exemplifies the Thomasian brand of leadership: compassionate, competent, and committed to the common good,” said Henry Tenedero, president of the UST Philets and Artlets Alumni Association Inc.
Crisanto holds an MBA from the Ateneo Graduate School of Business and completed the WBCSD LEAP Program with ESADE Business School and Yale University.
