Esteban named new Highrisers head coach

Galeries Tower tapped former Chery Tiggo head coach Clarence Esteban to be the new tactician ahead of the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) season on 31 January.

The Highrisers posted on social media on Thursday evening as the Mapua University women's volleyball mentor will replace head coach Godfrey Okumu after a 12-place finish in the PVL Reinforced Conference last year.

Joining Esteban on the sidelines is former Pocari Sweat tactician John Abella.

Esteban last coached in the PVL back in 2022 when he led the Crossovers to a semifinal finish in the Reinforced Conference.

Esteban will inherit a Galeries Tower side that has Alas Pilipinas memberJulia Coronel and third overall pick Jean Asis as well as veterans Fhen Emnas and Dimdim Pacres.
