he Eastern Police District (EPD) has intensified its security preparations for the Feast of the Black Nazarene 2026, one of the country’s largest religious gatherings expected to draw thousands of devotees nationwide.
As part of its comprehensive security plan, the EPD will deploy a total of 732 police personnel to conduct civil disturbance management, traffic control, emergency preparedness response, and crime prevention.
The EPD emphasized the importance of command responsibility, communications interoperability, and rapid response mechanisms to ensure timely action in any untoward incident.
The district likewise encouraged devotees and stakeholders to remain vigilant, cooperate with authorities, and observe safety advisories throughout the festivity.
With these preparations in place, the EPD remains fully dedicated to ensuring a safe, peaceful, and orderly celebration of the Feast of the Black Nazarene 2026, upholding its mission of service, professionalism, and community partnership.
