Small business owners and partner riders gathered at SM City Cebu, for Asenso Express, a one-day event focused on helping micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) adapt to digital tools and online systems.

The program was organized by the Department of Information and Communications Technology Region VII and the ICT Industry Development Bureau, with participation from government offices and private companies.

The event focused on the practical use of digital platforms in daily business operations. Topics included online transactions, e-commerce participation and delivery coordination.

Many of the MSMEs in attendance were already using digital tools in some form but raised concerns about cost, efficiency, and access to reliable logistics support.

Maxim joined the event as an exhibitor and engaged directly with MSMEs and riders throughout the day. At its booth, the company presented how its platform is used to manage deliveries and transport services.

Discussions centered on delivery pricing, order handling, and ways small merchants can manage logistics without adding overhead.

Company representatives also explained partnership options available to drivers using the platform. Delivery riders, taxi drivers, TNVS drivers, and truck drivers asked about income opportunities, scheduling, and platform requirements.

The conversations highlighted how digital platforms have become part of everyday work for both merchants and transport workers.

Government agencies were present to provide support and answer questions related to business registration, compliance, and worker documentation.

These included the Department of Trade and Industry, Social Security System, Land Transportation Office, Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board, and the National Bureau of Investigation.

Maxim began operations in the Philippines in 2020, with Cebu as its first city of operations. Since then, its services have expanded to other cities nationwide, covering delivery services and pre-arranged transport.
