The Police Regional Office 13 has intensified inspections of firecracker retail zones, display areas, and authorized sellers across Caraga to ensure full compliance with safety regulations ahead of New Year festivities.

PRO-13 Director Brig. Gen. Marcial Mariano Magistrado IV led daylong inspections, joined by regional officials and local police chiefs, to curb the sale of illegal and unsafe pyrotechnics that could cause injuries and fires.

Police also checked Police Assistance Desks in key areas and manned checkpoints along major routes, while monitoring transport terminals and seaports to manage the holiday travel surge, provide assistance, and prevent crime.
